President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar arrived in Azerbaijan on July 2.
According to Report, the president was welcomed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun and Head of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Representation in Baku Ufuk Turganer.
He is scheduled to participate in the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states, scheduled to be held in Khankandi on July 3-4, as the head of state of an observer country.
At the same time, Tatar is expected to participate in a number of events within the framework of the trip to Azerbaijan.
In addition, it is planned to award the title of Honorary Doctor of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) to the President of Northern Cyprus.
