According to the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organizations, a medical charity, a month of relentless bombings of the region by the coalition of Syria nad Russia has led to 229 civilian deaths and left other 727 injured.
By this upsurge of intense attacks, there has been a mass exodus of civilans escaping violence. The UN said that more than 200 thousand people have fled violence since the end of April and they need urgent food and protection.
A total of 20 health facilities has been targeted by the intense bombardments – 19 of which became useless for service, according to the UN.
The United Nations has warned that an all-out offensive on the Idlib region would lead to a humanitarian catastrophe for its nearly three million residents.
