Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh Region appealed to OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, APA reports citing the Community.

Azerbaijani Community of Nagorno-Karabakh Region of the Republic of Azerbaijan has addressed a letter to OSCE Minks Group Co-chairs as a protest to the visit of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and a provocative statement made by him during the visit.

It is stated in the letter that on August 5 Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited occupied Azerbaijani territories, attended the opening ceremony of “Pan-Armenian” games. AT the opening ceremony Nikol Pashinyan voiced provocative statements and called Garabagh as a part of Armenia: “Thus, Armenian Prime Minister admitted that they conduct annexation policy of the Azerbaijani territories. In fact, his drivels are contrary to the spirit of the negotiations of Azerbaijan-Armenia Nagorno Karabakh conflict and caused to the anger of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis displaced from their ancestral lands.

The protest letter also notes that in the 21st century, changing internationally recognized borders of countries by force is unacceptable: “And Pashinyan’s words about a peaceful resolution to the conflict are nothing but to divert attention from the truth. This is a fictitious reason to conceal the military occupation by Armenia. The main goal of Armenia is to deceive the international community and the OSCE Minsk Group. Pashinyan, saying “Karabakh is an integral part of Armenia,” jeopardizes the negotiations mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group and causes irreparable damage to the negotiations on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia was repeated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country.

We, members of the Azerbaijani community of the Nagorno-Karabakh region of the Republic of Azerbaijan urge the OSCE Minsk Group to condemn such an annexation policy of Nikol Pashinyan.”

Note that this letter has been sent to other member states of OSCE Minsk Group and Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Council of Europe, the relevant bodies of the European Union and other international organizations alongside with co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
