Raids have been conducted in hostels and prayer houses in Moscow to identify illegal migrants, EDnews reports, the Russian media.
It is noted that during the inspections, police officers brought more than 500 foreign citizens to the department to check their documents. More than 30 people became defendants in administrative cases for violating the rules of entry and stay in Russia, they were expelled from the country.
Also during the inspections, law enforcement officers found a foreign citizen who was on the federal wanted list. Inspections will be conducted in a cafe opened by migrants in Novosibirsk.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin ordered an update on the results of the inspection into information about the provision of unsafe services in this cafe.
