"Undoubtedly, it is inevitable that the Azerbaijani side will take the necessary tough steps, and I think that a large-scale anti-terrorist operation will be held soon."
Military analyst Alp Arslan Imamgulu told Ednews about the recent movement of separatist forces in Lachin region of Zengazur. The expert added that the country's leadership has repeatedly warned about this at international events: "Of course, the country's leadership and our political circles have repeatedly raised this issue in the international arena. As for the retaliatory measure against this, the Azerbaijani side must take the necessary strict measures, and I think that a large-scale anti-terrorist operation will be held soon. This, of course, is possible by closing the Lachin corridor and quickly conducting large-scale operations, including our territories under the responsibility of Russian "Peacekeepers".
Expert said that Russian peacekeepers also directly played a role in the activation of separatist groups.
"It is not in Russia's interests to ensure peace in the region and to be the main participant in the Mid-Corridor. For this reason, Russia is more interested in military resistance in the region. Because Russia can maintain its existence in the South Caucasus only in this form.
Therefore, the violation of the ceasefire on the borders of Azerbaijan and especially in Lachin region can be considered as a type of action of the Russian Federation. Peacekeepers even directly support the commission of a number of terrorist acts in the region."
The military analyst also emphasized that in response to this, the Azerbaijani side is thinking about adequate steps regarding the activities of the peacekeepers.
If the peacekeeping forces grossly violate the requirements of the November 10 declaration, it is the sovereign right of Azerbaijan to demand the termination of their activities in Azerbaijan's territory.
It is almost inevitable that large-scale anti-terrorist operations will be launched soon, considering what happened in two years in general.
