Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded to the accusations against Shusha during his speech at the meeting of the commission investigating the details of the 44-Day War, Ednews reports citing Sputnik Armenia.
According to Pashinyan, on October 19, the Russian President informed him of the new demand of the Azerbaijani side - to guarantee the return of the population to the city, where 90% are Azerbaijanis: "For the Russian side, this proposal is understandable, because the issue of refugees and internally displaced persons was considered in the Russian version of the settlement was on the negotiating table years ago".
Thus, Pashinyan considered that it follows that the Shusha issue has always been discussed behind the negotiating table.
He once again repeated the opinion that it is difficult to call the city an Armenian city when 90% of Shusha's population consists of Azerbaijanis.
