Romania's Ministry of National Defense (MoND) denied on Monday that Russian drones used in attacks on Ukraine fell on its territory.
"The MoND responsible structures monitored, in real time, the situation generated by the Russian drone attacks conducted last night, as well as on Saturday night, against the infrastructure from the proximity of the Ukrainian Harbours at the Danube. At no time did the means of attack employed by the Russian Federation pose direct military threats to our national territory or Romania's territorial waters," thre ministry stated. However, it still condemned Moscow's attacks, claiming they are "unjustified and break all international humanitarian rules."
Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry stated that an unspecified number of Shahed drones fell on Romanian territory after the Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian Danube port of Izmail.
