Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, Chief of the General Staff Edward Asryan and US Ambassador Christine Quinn have observed the progress of the Armenian-American exercises, Ednews informs referring to the Armenian media.
The event was also attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of US Army Europe and Africa for Operations, Brigadier General Patrick Ellis, Commander of the 10th Mountain Division, Major General Gregory Anderson and foreign military attaches accredited in Armenia.
Exercise Eagle Partner 2023 kicked off on September 11 in preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions. The guests attended the active stage of practical training. Then the head of the defense department and his entourage were introduced to the exercise control center and specially equipped classrooms where scenarios are developed and decisions are made.
Some 175 Armenian and 85 US soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division of the US Army and the Kansas National Guard are taking part in the exercises.
