Russia launched an attack against the Ukrainian western city of Lviv early on Tuesday, head of the regional administration, Maxim Kozitsky, confirmed.
Kozitsky noted several loud explosions and mentioned the presence of an air defense system in the city. According to local media, one person was injured and an industrial warehouse fire broke out as a result of the attacks.
An air raid alert had been announced in the Lviv region earlier.
