The number of fatalities from the powerful earthquakes that struck Afghanistan on Saturday rose to 320, the United Nations' count showed, according to the Associated Press news agency.
The tremors struck the region with an epicenter some 40 kilometers west of the country's third-largest city of Herat with the first quake measuring at 6.2 magnitude, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).
