The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) claimed on Sunday that it was threatened by the Israeli military to "immediately evacuate Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza Strip, as it is going to be bombarded." The surroundings of the hospital had already been hit earlier in the day, the PRCS noted, but also confirmed that "communications are back again after being cut off for about 36 hours.
Meanwhile, The Associated Press reported that most roads to Al-Shifa, Gaza's largest medical complex, have been destroyed. Israel claimed that Hamas has a headquarters under the hospital, but the militant group denied the allegations.
Elsewhere, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) reported that "thousands of people broke into several UNRWA warehouses" and distribution centers in Gaza, "taking wheat flour and other basic survival items like hygiene supplies."
