The Hamas-run government in Gaza said on Friday that over 50% of all housing units in Gaza have been damaged since the start of the current conflict with Israel on October 7. It added that Israel has used some 32,000 tons of explosives in Gaza since the fighting began.
The government's media office put the number of destroyed residential objects at 40,000. The total cost of the damage to the housing and infrastructure has been estimated at $2 billion each.
