Yemen's Houthi rebel group claimed responsibility for the launch of the barrage of ballistic missiles toward the Israeli southern city of Eilat earlier on Wednesday.
The group confirmed the launch of missiles through one of its Telegram channels, claiming that the move was taken in support of the "oppressed" Palestinian people. In addition, the Houthi group said that its forces will continue its efforts to prevent Israeli ships from navigating in the Arabian and Red Seas.
The Israeli Defense Forces previously intercepteda surface-to-surface missile over the Red Sea.
