Turkish Defense Ministry reported that after carrying airstrikes in the north of Iraq and Syria, its forces destroyed 29 targets that were associated with the Kurdish militant political organization Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
"Air Operations were carried out against terrorist targets in Metina, Hakurk, Gara and Kandil regions in the north of Iraq and in the north of Syria at 00.30 on January 13, 2024. 29 targets, consisting of caves, bunkers, shelters and oil facilities" used by the PKK were wrecked, the ministry said.
The attack comes after Turkey informed during Friday night that nine of their soldiers were killed Claw-Lock Operation in the region.
