The volume of Swiss investments in the Kazakh economy over the last 15 years exceeded $24 billion, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told reporters following his talks with President of Switzerland Ueli Mauer on Friday, Eurasia Diary reports citing Akipress.
The trade turnover of the countries in 2018 amounted more than $3 billion, the head of state said.
"Kazakhstan has always been an economically attractive due to its membership in the EAEU, neighborhood with China and the opportunity to enter the promising markets of Central Asia. We are ready to help the Swiss investors interested in joint projects in Kazakhstan export their products to the neighbouring markets," Tokayev said.
