At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Northern Cyprus Campus of Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBU), held on January 16, a decision was adopted to allocate 100% scholarships for the children and spouses of the martyrs of the Karabakh War.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Enver Arpa, Rector of ASBU’s Northern Cyprus Campus. In accordance with the adopted decision, Azerbaijani students belonging to this category will be granted the opportunity to pursue their studies at the university with full scholarships.
In a statement to EDnews, Enver Arpa noted that Azerbaijan restored historical justice by achieving a decisive victory in Karabakh and emphasized that supporting the children of those who were martyred in the war is a moral duty:
“We regard the Karabakh victory as our own and commemorate with deep respect the cherished memory of the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for this sacred cause. As ASBU, we have always structured our activities based on the principle of ‘One Nation, Three States.’ Guided by this understanding, we have decided to create educational opportunities for the children and spouses of the martyrs of the Karabakh War.”
The Rector further emphasized that the ASBU Northern Cyprus Campus is fully prepared to mobilize all its resources to ensure that members of martyrs’ families receive high-quality education at the highest standards.
It was also noted during the meeting that candidates who wish to receive detailed information about the scholarships and apply may do so by contacting [email protected] via email or by visiting the relevant link provided on the official website of the ASBU Northern Cyprus Campus.
