The world is facing the biggest threat to energy security in history, according to International Energy Agency Executive Director, Fatih Birol.
“We will see downward pressure on demand as a result of rising prices, and in some cases as a result of some measures that governments are taking or will take” to address the energy crisis, he told the Reuters news agency.
Regarding the impact of the Iran war on the energy crisis, Birol said: “We have lost so far 13 million barrels of oil per day”.
