Neighbors close borders with Iran amid fear of coronavirus

Coronavirus virus has killed 2,715 people and infected more than 78,000 in China. It spreads to other regions and the even the Middle East. The virus spread mostly to Iran in the region.

According to Iranian health ministry spokesperson Kianush Jahanpur, 19 people have died and 139 people have been infected by a coronavirus in the country.

The fear of spreading the virus forced its neighbors to close the borders.

Five of Iran’s seven neighbors, Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Armenia, have closed their borders to the Islamic Republic, Alarabiyya reports.

Other regional countries, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, UAE, Oman, and Georgia have also imposed travel and immigration restrictions.
