Former President of the United States George Bush warned of global pandemic fifteen years ago.
In 2005, former President of the United States George Bush made speech in the press conference of National Institutes of Health. During speech, he touched upon issues in connection with the spread of disease, which now has covered all world.
At the beginning of speech, George Bush said: “We can help our nation to prepare for other danger. Such as, terrorist attack by chemical and biological weapons. Leaders of every government have responsibility to take front against danger before it appear. Engage American people is best course of action. It is right of our nation to discuss and address the threat of pandemic flu now.”
Former president in his speech also noted that there is no pandemic flu in the world, including the US. But, he emphasized that it is necessary to pay attention on preparations in order to prevent the threat of next pandemic before it appear.
“If we wait pandemic to appear, it will be late to prepare. One day many lives could be lost, because we fail act today,” Bush said.
George Bush added that America must start improving itself against pandemic now, as it will make it ready to fight danger.
