Ivan Rakitic’s brother and agent Dejan Rakitic has responded to speculation the midfielder could on his way out of Barcelona this summer.
The midfielder has repeatedly said he is happy and wants to stay at the Camp Nou, but rumors of interest from Inter Milan have reappeared in the wake of Barcelona’s Champions League exit.
Rakitic’s brother was asked about the Croatia international’s future and said that while he is happy he is not sure what will happen in the future.
“Today the situation is easy to explain. Ivan is very happy at Barcelona,” he said.
“Barça is one of the biggest clubs in the world, Ivan is happy to be a part of it but I don’t know what his future will be.
“He is eager to win the Copa del Rey. He wants to focus on playing the final and help in bringing home another trophy for Barcelona.
“He has had a great season and many at Barcelona think that too.”
There have been all sorts of rumors about Barcelona’s players after their loss to Liverpool, including reports that there are as many as 10 players the club are considering selling.
Rakitic’s name featured on that list largely because it is believed the club could be willing to cash in on the 31-year-old in a bid to freshen up the team with younger players.
