We consider that the meetings of expert groups and Delimitation Commissions should continue on time, and for this, the Georgian side is ready, " reports Eurasia Diary referring to the statement issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia on the incident in David-Gareji,
"Small incidents took place between the locals and Azerbaijani border guards on the David-Gareji part of the Georgian-Azerbaijani border on 14 July.
The incident quickly took under control by corresponding Georgian authorities. And the investigation has already begun.
Similar incidents do not fit the strategic partnership between our countries. That is why we believe that the meetings of expert groups and Delimitation Commissions should proceed, and the Georgian part is ready for this process. Creating opportunities for Delimitation Commissions to work in a peaceful and appropriate environment is a priority to achieve progress," said in the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Ministry of Georgia.
