On 29 March 2021, within the framework of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov to Tajikistan, a meeting took place with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, informs the Press-Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Eurasia Diary reports citing Azeri Daily.
The ministers exchanged views on the current situation in the region, as well as the work done by Azerbaijan in the post-conflict reconstruction and recovery process.
The parties also discussed issues on the agenda of bilateral cooperation and noted with satisfaction that Protocol No.1 on amendments to the agreement on mutual visa exemption between Azerbaijan and Turkey signed in Baku will come into force on 1 April and the citizens of the two countries will be able use their domestic ID cards as border travel documents.
Other regional issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
