Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Turkmenistan hold talks on energy issues

Ministers of Energy of Azerbaijan, Turkiye and Turkmenistan Parviz Shahbazov, Fatih Donmez, Charymurad Churpekov held talks in the Avaza tourist zone in Turkmenistan, Report informs referring to the Turkmen media.

At the meeting, it was announced that preparations for the signing of important agreements that would give impetus to the development of relations in the energy sector were announced.

The Turkmen side expressed interest in increasing the volume and diversifying energy supplies to the global, including European markets. The parties discussed the supply of Turkmen gas to Europe in transit through Azerbaijan and Turkiye.

Speaking about the export of Turkmen electricity, the parties came to the unanimous opinion that the great prospects for expanding partnership in this area necessitate the establishment of coordinated international cooperation.

A meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries was also held in the Avaza tourist zone.
