Azerbaijani activists and members of environmental non-governmental organizations (NGOs) on the Lachin-Khankendi road, which is under the temporary control of Russian peacekeeping groups, continue to demand an end to environmental terrorism in the Karabakh economic region. It should be noted that the protests are being watched with interest by the world community, as well as by political analysts.
Israeli political expert Eytan Cohen Yanarojak spoke about the events to Ednews in his comments. He noted that Azerbaijan's peaceful protest fully complies with the international law and no one can prevent it.
"Today, the demands of the Azerbaijanis who participated in the peaceful action on the Lachin-Khankendi road fully abide to the international law. They put forward their rightful demands. This is also a step taken for the ecological protection of Azerbaijan's own territories, and there can be no question of outside interference in this peaceful protest," the expert emphasized.
Eytan Cohen linked the current situation with the fact that the territories under Russia's temporary responsibility are left unattended. He called the current policy of Azerbaijan successful.
"Today, Azerbaijan puts mild pressure on Moscow due to the irresponsibility of Russia, which devoted all its strength to the Ukrainian war. In this regard, if we consider Europe's energy needs, it can be predicted that Azerbaijan will receive political support from Brussels. On the other hand, relations between Aliyev and Putin remain intact. This is chess, Azerbaijan plays according to the rules of the game. And it plays very well."
