Germany supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
Ednews reports that German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier said this during his speech at a wide-ranging meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on March 14.
The President of Germany noted that in the meeting with the head of state, discussions were held regarding the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the signing of a peace treaty, and he is hopeful that the peace treaty will be signed.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier noted that Germany supports the mission led by the President of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel, and said that he is hopeful that a meeting will be held in Brussels soon. The German President added that Charles Michel's mission is trusted by both sides. He also said that United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinky has given serious support and contribution to the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Frank-Walter Steinmeier emphasized that Germany supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
