A meeting between the Prosecutor Generals of Azerbaijan and Russia was held in St. Petersburg, Russia, the website of the Prosecutor General of Russia announced, Ednews reports.
It was reported that Igor Krasnov and Kamran Aliyev held a business meeting in St. Petersburg. Speaking at the meeting, the Prosecutor General of Russia noted that taking into account the rapprochement of the economy of the two states, the increase in trade turnover and joint business projects, the issues of protecting the business from administrative pressures and ensuring the rights of investors and entrepreneurs are in the centre of attention.
Igor Krasnov further stated that the countries' agreements in the fields of science and education are being actively implemented.
The Russian Prosecutor General expressed gratitude for the work done by the Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office in the investigation of vandalism in the Russian cemetery in Baku."As a result, the perpetrator of the incident was identified and prosecuted." Azerbaijan's prompt restoration of the ruined graves demonstrates the government's unwavering commitment to the ideals of humanism, ethnic and social equality, and, of course, we consider it as a sign of respect for our country," said the Prosecutor General of Russia.
At the end of the meeting, the Prosecutor Generals of Russia and Azerbaijan signed the Cooperation Program for 2024-2025. The document reflects the protection of socially vulnerable populations, the fight against the illegal transfer of digital financial assets, including cryptocurrencies, abroad, the use of modern technologies in prosecutor's offices' activities, as well as the control activities of military prosecutors.
