On July 6, Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev, who is in Baku on a working visit, Ednews informs, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.
Welcoming the guest, the Prosecutor General stressed the importance of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OTS and strengthening ties between various structures of fraternal and friendly Turkic-speaking countries.
On November 1, 2021, at the initiative of the prosecutor’s offices of Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the first meeting of the Prosecutors General of the OTS member states was held in Baku and the importance of creating the Council of Prosecutors General was emphasized, and in August last year, at the initiative of Azerbaijan, an international conference was held in Baku on the topic of legal cooperation for young prosecutors of the OTS member countries.
Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliev noted that the OTS appreciates and supports the platform, and stressed that the Council, established to develop comprehensive cooperation between Turkic-speaking countries, especially in the fight against crime, is of great importance.
During the meeting, a fruitful exchange of views took place on issues of mutual interest, including the holding of the second meeting of the Council in November this year in Ankara.
