"After the glorious operation of the Azerbaijani Army on September 19, when the backs of the terrorists were broken, recent studies show that more than 500,000 mines and unexploded ammunition remnants were discovered in Khankendi alone. This is a frightening figure. Most of these mines were brought after the 44-day war and the November 10 agreement, and are mines and unexploded military munitions that were kept on hand to be buried."
Ednews informs that the President of the International Eurasian Press Fund, Umud Mirzayev, said these words at the event regarding the open letter addressed to the President of PACE by landmine victims and NGOs operating in this field.
According to him, 2023 was a very successful year for Azerbaijan:
"It does not matter if they accept it or not, but Azerbaijan will not deviate even 1 centimeter from its path and goal. Truth and justice are on our side. For 30 years, the people of Azerbaijan were experiencing this pain. This had to be stopped. If there was a fair approach to this issue, it could have been resolved in the early 90s. The solution of the problem, which has not been solved in 30 years, fell on the Azerbaijani Army and people. These issues were resolved under the influence of the iron fist of our Commander-in-Chief."
