"Statement of representatives of the Western Azerbaijan Community represented in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was discussed at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis, Ednews reports.
The statement was discussed and approved.
The statement reads:
"Azerbaijani have lived in the territory of present-day Armenia for centuries. Historical documents and maps prove that the majority of the population living there consists of Azerbaijanis. Unfortunately, as a result of step-by-step ethnic cleansing, not a single Azerbaijani remained in Armenia. "20% of Azerbaijani lands were occupied after the complete cleansing of the territory of Armenia from Azerbaijanis."
