In connection with the early presidential elections scheduled for February 7, precinct election commission No. 47 for the Yasamal second electoral district No. 16 was created at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia, Ednews informs.
On February 7 at 8 a.m., the polling station opened and the voting process began.
Chairman of the precinct election commission, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Georgia Faig Guliyev said that these elections are a historic event for the country. For the first time since the restoration of independence, presidential elections are being held in all regions of Azerbaijan.
He added that citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan who have reached the age of 18 and have the right to vote, who are currently working, studying or are on a temporary business trip in Georgia, will today be able to vote at the embassy for any candidate. All conditions have been created for this at the embassy.
