Latvia is interested in the establishment of lasting peace between Baku and Yerevan, the Speaker of the Latvian Parliament Daiga Mieriņa said at a press conference in Baku, Ednews informs.
“I wish Azerbaijan and Armenia to achieve complete peace,” she said.
Mieriņa also congratulated Azerbaijan on the progress made in peace negotiations with Armenia.
According to her, the more representatives of the international community go to Karabakh, the more awareness there will be of what happened there”
“Yesterday, in Karabakh, we saw firsthand how quickly the region is developing. We saw new airports, new schools, buildings. We also visited Shusha. Karabakh is rapidly recovering and developing, we are sincerely glad to see this.”
