Meta Platforms CEO Mark Zuckerberg said on Friday that signups to the company's new microblogging app Threads topped 70 million less than two days after its launch.
"70 million sing ups on Threads as of this morning. Way beyond our expectations," Zuckerberg said in a post on the new app.
Following the app's launch, reports emerged that Twitter warned Meta that it could sue it, claiming Threads is a "copycat" product.
