Microsoft Corporation President and Vice-Chairman Brad Smith (pictured) told CNBC in an interview published on Monday that the company has "really tried" to take into consideration the United Kingdom's concerns related to its possible acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Talking about the UK regulator's worries, Smith insisted that Microsoft hasn't tried to "dismiss," "ignore" or "downplay" them. On the contrary, "we’ve worked to address them, and by addressing them, we have put together a transaction that will advance competition, while also eliminating the concerns on the anti-competitive side that some people had," he stated.
Last week, the tech giant submitted a fresh takeover proposal to the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), after the original agreement was denied.
