Representatives of a number of non-governmental organizations held a protest rally in front of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan today.
According to the Eurasia Diary, the participants held placards in English and French languages, and chanting slogans "Karabakh is Azerbaijan", "France be fair", "Respect international law", "France get out of OSCE!"
Protests read statement.
It is noted in the statement that "France has turned a blind eye to the numerous international crimes committed by Armenia against Azerbaijan, and has repeatedly demonstrated the hypocrisy to Armenian terror and vandalism against peaceful Azerbaijanis around the world.
This resolution threatens the peace achieved. We condemn this resolution and demand its annulment. We demand the suspension of all relations with France until the notorious Senate resolution is annulled. "
The statement was signed by the Azerbaijan Democratic Student Youth Organization, the Azerbaijan Young Scientists, Postgraduates and Masters Society, the Young Patriots and other non-governmental organizations.
It should be noted that French Senate on November 25 adoped biased resolution calling on French government to recognize the independence of the separatist regime installed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
