The first eclipse event of the year - solar eclipse has begun, Ednews reports citing Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory.
This eclipse is a hybrid solar eclipse. The observation of a hybrid solar eclipse is the viewing of either an annular or total solar eclipse, depending on the observer's position along the central eclipse path.
The eclipse will begin at 05:34 local time and end at 10:59. The maximum of the eclipse, which will last 5 hours and 25 minutes in total, will be at 08:16.
Note that Southeast Asia, Australia, the Pacific Ocean, the Indian Ocean, and Antarctica will witness the year's first solar eclipse. It will not be observed in Azerbaijani territory.
