National leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and ex-President of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze were true leaders, President of the Georgian Center for Diplomacy and Foreign Policy Studies Tedo Japaridze said at the 4th International Conference on “Shaping the Geopolitics of the Greater Eurasia: from Past to Present to Future,” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, Ednews informs.
He noted that both leaders had a unique vision of ensuring regional security and development. The success of energy projects in the region depended directly on the security and stability in Georgia and Azerbaijan, Japaridze said, adding that the implementation of major projects in the region would have been impossible without that.
