Today, Director of Al-Jazeera Research Center Muhammad Al-Mukhtar Al-Khalil and Director of Center for Public Freedoms and Human Rights of Al-Jazeera Media Network Sami Al-Hajj visited the head office of the International Eurasia Press Fund
Ednews reports that the representatives of "Al-Jazeera Media Network" in the world's leading global media organizations congratulated the management and staff of IEPF on the occasion of July 22 National Press Day in Azerbaijan and present them gifts.
During the meeting, IEPF President Umud Mirzayev greeted the guests and said:
"IEPF has been cooperating with Al-Jazeera Media Network for many years. Today's meeting coincides with the eve of July 22 National Press Day in Azerbaijan. Our friends, today did not come empty-handed. Besides participating in the media forum to be held in Azerbaijan, they brought gifts for IEPF, with which they have cooperated for many years. We thank them. The books they brought are publications of Al-Jazeera. These are extremely useful books for our journalists."
Mohammad Al-Mukhtar Al Khalil said that he was happy to be in Azerbaijan.
"Thank you for the hospitality of my brother Umud. We are very happy to be in your beautiful country and to have relations with IEPF."
M. Al-Mukhtar also informed about the rules of the Code of Professional Ethics and Conduct of "Al-Jazeera". He also spoke about the awards which were presented to Al-Jazeera."
Among the presented gifts, the Professional Ethics Code of Conduct award accepted by "Al-Jazeera Media Network" on July 12, 2004, and the award symbolizing the media institution, reflecting its departments and centers, were also presented to IEPF.
Then, Sami Al Hajj spoke about cooperation with IEPF:
"Cooperation with the International Eurasia Press Fund is successful for both sides. We hope that the books we brought will be useful for Azerbaijani journalists.These books are researches written on modern media, journalism, and various topics."
U. Mirzayev once again thanked the guests and at the end they posed for photographs.
