Today, the Embassy of Pakistan in Baku orchestrated a significant Kashmir Solidarity Day event at the Azerbaijan University of Languages. The occasion featured a poignant photo exhibition illustrating the hardships faced by the Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.
The event made its beginning with the Principal of the University, Kamal Abdulla. After greeting participants, he shared his views on the ongoing conflict, emphasizing his position for peace. He said that he will not spare the support he has in this conflict and that the people of Azerbaijan, whose lands have been occupied for more than 30 years, understand the pain of the people of Pakistan, who are suffering from this conflict.
Ambassador Bilal Hayee delivered a compelling presentation, emphasizing the historical and legal aspects of the Kashmir issue. Distinguished guests, including professionals, scholars, media personnel, students, and Azerbaijani civil society members, gathered to express solidarity with Kashmir and reaffirm Pakistan's principled stance.
Professor Atamoglan Mammadli addressed the audience, shedding light on the historical, political, and humanitarian dimensions of the Kashmir conflict. The event successfully raised awareness about the challenges faced by the Kashmiri people, with a documentary highlighting their day-to-day struggles.
Ambassador Hayee expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its active support and urged the international community to play a proactive role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in alignment with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and UN resolutions. The event culminated with the audience reaffirming their solidarity for the Kashmir cause.
