“Бірлестік (Unity) - 2024” command-staff exercises have started in Kazakhstan with the participation of the military servicemen of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Ednews reports citing local media.
The military maneuvers held at the "Oymasha" training ground in the Mangystau region in the west of the country will continue until July 17.
More than 4,000 personnel and 700 pieces of military equipment are involved in the exercises.
The main objective is to test the rapid response of ground forces' maneuvers, aerial reconnaissance, naval special forces, military aviation, and naval vessels during combat missions in a military conflict scenario.
Participants will also undergo tests in various combat types, tactical planning, and shooting skills.
Note that a cultural event is planned for the last day of the military exercises.
