On May 19, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations' peace vision, the "Roots of Peace" organization and the "Golden Gate" National Recreation Area will host the Muir Woods Peace Walk in California, USA.
This walk, organized as a tribute to the UN's peacebuilding initiatives, will see participants engage in a silent walk through the Redwood forest toward Cathedral Grove. Once at Cathedral Grove, they will reflect upon and share their thoughts on the legacy of the founding nations of the United Nations and the historical significance of the day.
It is worth noting that the "Peace Walk" has been held annually since 1945, following the same route.
