Atletico Madrid have made official on Saturday the signing of Robin Le Normand, Ednews informs via BeSoccer.
A few days ago, both Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad had already announced the agreement they had reached for the transfer of the centre-back to the Madrid team, but subject to his arrival after the holidays.
"Robin Le Normand is a new Atletico Madrid player after signing a contract that will link him to our club for five seasons," Atletico Madrid announced in the statement, which was released after he passed his medical.
The Madrid side needed at least one new centre-back after the departures of Stefan Savic and Mario Hermoso. Now, the Spanish international will be one of the leaders of Diego Pablo Simeone's defence.
Atletico announced it through a video in which the new 'Colchonero' centre-back could be seen playing the piano and with the text: "The harmony of a EURO champion", in allusion to the Euros won with Spain this summer.
