Russian Defense Ministry has again revived Sunburn missile, called SS-N-22, which was designed during Soviet period, consists of two unrelated anti-ship missiles.
Military experts, in their reports noted, Sunburn missile is technologically one of the most powerful anti-ship missiles that could destroy enemy's whole naval forces along with their other military and civil facilities, which includes aircraft and rocket bases, heavy armored vehicles, and cities.
SS-N-22 is equiped of two unrelated missiles: P-80 Zubr and Raduga P-270 Moskit. The Zubr was rocket-propelled and armed with a 250 kilogram warhead, and Raduga was ramjet-propelled missile.
These unrelated Sunburn missiles are carried by later-model Sovremenny class destroyers, Tarantul class corvettes, and several smaller warships.
