A number of sources report that a few hours ago, a Turkish attack unmanned aerial vehicle, probably a Bayraktar TB2 drone, has destroyed another Russian-made Pantsir-S air defense missile system under the control of the Libyan National Army, EDNews.net reports citing Bulgarianmilitary.com.
This is the first complex destroyed by the Turkish military in the past two weeks.
According to preliminary data, the incident occurred in the area of the Libyan capital, and although today there is no official confirmation of this version, in the Tripoli area a few days earlier the Pantsir-S air defense missile systems were actually seen.
If the sources’ information is correct, then this is already the 17th complex destroyed by the Turkish military in Libya in the last month, although according to experts who really confirm this video and photo materials, we can only judge the loss of only four Pantsir-S complexes [one of them was captured – ed.].
It should be clarified that recently, the forces of the Libyan National Army have also succeeded in destroying Turkish drones, having shot down one and a half dozen strike and reconnaissance UAVs in less than a week.
Experts do not exclude that information about the destruction of another ZRPK “Pantsir-S” may be false.
Despite the desire to cease fire, hostilities in Libya have not ceased.
