Poland's Agriculture Minister Robert Telus (pictured) said on Tuesday that Warsaw and Kiev have come to an agreement allowing Ukrainian grain transit to resume on the night between April 20 and 21, Ednews reports citing Reuters.
"We have managed to set up mechanisms that will mean that not even a tonne of grain remains in Poland. The goods will transit through Poland," he said following the two-day meeting with Ukraine's officials.
Several other European countries joined Poland in blocking Ukrainian grain imports due to concerns about potential damage to their local markets. The European Union firmly opposed these decisions.
