On April 26 Turkish World Columnists Symposium started in Istanbul. The forum will continue its work until April 28.
Ednews reports that the symposium is being held for the first time. The forum was organized by the Ministry of Communications of the administration of the Republic of Turkey.
Representatives of the five member states of the Organization of Turkic States, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and three observer states, Hungary, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, are participating in the event.
15 media representatives from Turkey and 35 foreign journalists participated in the program.
On April 26, media representatives who visited Istanbul took part in a Gala Party specially organized for them after the Istanbul Bosphorus Boat.
The official work of the symposium will continue on April 27. Two round table meetings and a panel will be held today.
Oguz Göksu, head of the Communications, Press and Broadcasting Department of the Presidential Administration, will deliver the opening speech at the event.
Then Dr. Kaan Kutlu Atac, the topic of "New World International Order Century" will be discussed at the round table.
Yahya Bostan, editorial consultant of Anadolu Agency, will present the second round table meeting called "Media in the New Age".
In the panel entitled "Energy Cooperation in the New Century", sector representatives from TPAO, BOTAŞ and EPİAŞ will evaluate the achievements and goals of Turkey in the field of energy.
On the last day of the program, on April 28, the participants will participate in the world's largest aviation and technology festival TEKNOFEST.
