Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov warned the US not to greenlight Ukraine's strikes on Crimea. "Let me remind you that we consider strikes on this territory as an attack on any other subject of the Russian Federation. It is important that the United States fully were aware of Russia's retaliatory measures," he said, according to RIA Novosti.
EDnews informs via RIA Novosti that Antonov also criticized discussions in the West regarding sending fighter jets to Ukraine, stating that "Washington has completely subordinated the G7 members to its own line" on the matter. He claimed that "every specialist knows that Ukraine lacks the infrastructure to operate the F-16, and the required number of pilots and maintenance personnel are also missing."
