South Korean Trade Minister Ahn Duk-geun and State Secretary for Financial market policy and European policy at the German Finance Ministry Joerg Kukies met on Monday to discuss the two countries' bilateral economic relations and the global supply chain issue, EDnews informs via Euronews.
According to the statement released by South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the meeting in Seoul focused on overcoming the supply chain crisis. Ahn also asked Kukies to ensure Germany supported South Korea regarding the European Union's new regulations on foreign trade and cooperation. The conversation came a day after South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz met in Seoul during which they agreed to strengthen Seoul and Berlin's defense cooperation.
