Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov remarked on Friday that the United States' comments Ukraine can use the weapons it received from the West in Crimea as it is part of its territory encourage attacks on Russiaç EDnews informs.
Speaking to The International Affairs magazine, Ryabkov stressed that Washington first said Ukraine can use the weapons to defend itself in Crimea as the peninsula is not an internationally recognized part of Russia. Then, in his words, it retracted those comments saying the US does not encourage attacks on the territory of Russia.
Ryabkov went on to describe the circumstances as the US giving Ukraine a "carte blanche" and "indulgence" to launch strikes at Russia.
