The Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Europe designated the Wagner Group as a "terrorist organization" on Tuesday, underscoring that Moscow stands as a "state sponsor" behind the paramilitary unit.
Under the Vancouver Declaration, the parliamentary assembly called on member states "recognize the terroristic nature of the Wagner Group and its actions" by taking actions to "thwart malign presence" of the paramilitary forces and their partners. In addition, the declaration urged participating states to condemn Russia's "crimes" and demanded that Moscow immediately withdraw all of its forces and put an end to its "illegal war of aggression against Ukraine."
Additionally, the OSCE parliamentary assembly called on Belarus to promptly cease support for Moscow's war in Ukraine.
