“The United Nations (UN) needs serious reforms to deal with the major challenges facing the world,” said Zambry Abdul Kadir, the Foreign Minister of Malaysia, at the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Coordinating Bureau, Ednews informs.
The minister said that Malaysia is concerned about the increase in hate speech and similar acts, such as the burning of Quran in Sweden.
“The current world order is disappointing... Countries that have not yet fully recovered from the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic are facing serious economic problems such as inflation and, first of all, the increase in the prices of food products. This has a negative impact, especially on poor countries," Zambry Abdul Kadir said.
The minister expressed his country's gratitude to Azerbaijan for preparing important final documents of NAM: “We also thank Azerbaijan for the excellent and successful chairmanship, as well as cooperation, during these four years.”
